Ans.- Here the word 'I' refers to the poet, who has taken the form of a young boy in the poem. (এই কবিতায় ' আমি' বলতে কবিকে বোঝানো হয়েছে যেখানে কবি এক তরুণ কিশোরের রূপ নিয়েছে |)

That is why the oak trees said that though the poet had born, he never 'grew up' or to say never developed psychologically. (অন্যান্য মানুষের মতোই যারা প্রকৃতির অংশ হওয়া সত্ত্বেও প্রকৃতির সংরক্ষণের কর্তব্যকে অবহেলা করে, কবিও তাদের মতো কোনোদিনই ওক গাছগুলিকে বাঁচাতে চেষ্টা করেননি। এই জন্য ওকগাছেরা বলেছিল যে যদিও কবি জন্মগ্রহণ করেছিলেন, তিনি কখনোই ‘বেড়ে ওঠেননি' অর্থাৎ তার মনস্তাত্ত্বিক বিকাশ ঘটেনি।)
