WBJEE 2022 Exam Date Released - Registration Begins From December, Application Process, Eligibility, Check Details
On wbjeeb.in, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has announced the WBJEE 2022 exam date. On April 23, the WBJEE 2022 will be held. In the last week of December, the WBJEE form 2022 will be issued. WBJEE 2022 dates include the WBJEE form 2022 schedule, admit card release date, exam day, answer key, result date, and counselling.
WBJEEB will conduct an OMR-based Common Entrance Examination (WBJEE-2022) for admission to Undergraduate Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture courses at various universities, government colleges, and self-financing Engineering & Technological Institutes in West Bengal for the academic year 2022-23.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board
WBJEE 2021: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was constituted in the year 1962 by the Government of West Bengal, in exercise of the powers conferred under article 162 of the Constitution of India pursuant to No. 828-Edn(T), dated 02.03.1962 for the purpose of conducting Joint Entrance Examination for admission to various institutions in West Bengal imparting education in medical, engineering and technological courses.
The Board has been awarded the status of Statutory Body enacted vide “West Bengal Act XIV of 2014” named as “The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board Act, 2014”.
The Board is empowered to conduct common, combined, competitive, entrance examinations for admission to the undergraduate professional and vocational courses in any College or in any University in the State of West Bengal.
The endeavor of the Board has always been directed towards enhancement of transparency in conducting Common Entrance Examinations through effective state-of-the-art technology.

Significantly, the WBJEE 2022 Exam registration procedure will be conducted entirely online, with steps including registration, online mode filling, uploading of essential documents, and payment of the application cost.
The WBJEE 2022 exam will be administered using an OMR sheet this time, and it will be used to admit applicants to various Undergraduate degrees in Pharmacy, Engineering & Technology, and Architecture offered by major educational institutions in West Bengal.
WBJEE 2022 Eligibility Criteria
WBJEE B.Tech Eligibility Criteria
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board will set few eligibility parameters for the aspirants of WBJEE 2022. Eligibility criteria differ from course to course. There will be two papers in WBJEE 2022: Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry Combined). Participants taking part in both paper and getting ranked will be eligible for admission in BTech/Pharmacy/Architecture courses. In order to take part in that exam aspirants need to fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed for the WBJEE 2022. For taking admission in the WBJEE 2022B.Tech course:
- Candidates must be citizen of India.
- His/her age should not be less that 17 years on December 31, 2022. There is no upper age limit for WBJEE but for Marine Engineering Degree Course, the upper age limit is 25 years as on December 31, 2022.
- Candidate should have passed Class 12 as regular student from a recognized board with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/ Biotechnology/Computer Application as compulsory subjects.
- The aggregate marks in these three subjects taken together should not be less than 45% (for SC/ST/OBC /PwD 40%).

WBJEEB will incubate some eligibility factors for the candidates of WBJEE 2022. There will be two paper in WBJEE 2022: Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). In order to take part in that exam, aspirants need to fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed for the WBJEE 2022. For taking admission in the WBJEE 2021 B.Arch course:
- Candidates must be citizen of India.
- His/her age should not be less than 17 years on December 31, 2022. There is no upper age limit for WBJEE.
- Candidate should have passed Class 12 as regular student from a recognized board with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/ Biotechnology/Computer Application as compulsory subjects.
- The aggregate marks should not be less than 50% in Class 12.
- Candidate should have cleared either National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture (COA) or Paper 2 of JEE Main 2022.
WBJEE 2022 Eligibility criteria vary from course to course. Candidates who appear for Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) can apply for only pharmacy courses while candidates who appear for both Paper 1 & 2 can apply for engineering courses as well. The eligibility criteria for WBJEE 2022 for the B.Pharm courses are:
- Only citizens of India are eligible to apply.
- Age should not be less than 17 years on Dec. 31, 2022. However, there is no upper age limit for WBJEE 2021.
- Candidates should have passed Class 12 as regular students from a recognized board.
- They must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology/Computer Science/ Biotechnology/Computer Application as compulsory subjects with pass marks in both Practical and Theory sections individually.
- The aggregate marks in these three subjects taken together should not be less than 45% (for SC/ST/OBC /PwD 40%).
- Candidates should have passed the English subject of Class 12 with at least 30% marks.
Preparation Tips:
- All questions will have four answer options.
- Only one option is correct
- Correct response will yield 1 (one) mark
- Incorrect response will yield – ¼ (25% negative) marks.
- Not attempting the question will fetch zero mark
